Michelle Leavitt-Djonlic  CSPWC
Michelle Leavitt-Djonlic is a watercolourist painting in a social
realist style. Growing up as a child in rural New Brunswick gave her the
opportunity to apply her attention to the details of early compositions
with few distractions, allowing her to develop her skills as a painter.
Attending the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University in
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Michelle received a Bachelor of Fine Arts and
Associates in Graphic Design. An exchange to the Fashion Institute of
Technology in New York exposed her to a variety of artistic styles and
designs. Michelle moved to Vancouver, British Columbia where she lived
until 2001, leaving to settle in Edmonton Alberta, where she has resided
for 16 years. Michelle became a member of the Canadian Society of
Painters in Watercolour in 2006. Currently she paints from her 1926 home
based studio. Her work has shown and sold nationally and abroad.
